LEIG meets to consider DCA proposals, 30 May 2007

The recent DCA Consultation Paper "Case track limits and the claims process for personal injury." is the biggest challenge to the legal expenses market for many years. This is under active consideration by the group. An LEIG paper has been prepared to summarise and comment on the proposals and to seek views from LEIG members.

Responses have started to come in and these will be used to prepare a draft LEIG response. The draft will be considered at an LEIG meeting on 11 June. After that LEIG will finalise the draft (using any other expert opinion deemed desirable) ready for submission in early July.
